Tip Tuesday
Here are 10 rules that can improve the effectiveness of your discipline and your relationship with your children:
  1. Change misbehavior by setting positive goals.
  2. Say what you mean and mean what you say.
  3. Involve your children in solving problems.
  4. Avoid lecturing; talk less and do more.
  5. Ask what happened to cause the misbehavior. Don't tell your child what you think happened.
  6. Make your expectations clear and praise your children when they meet your expectations.
  7. Impose logical consequences for misbehavior.
  8. Give choices; but be sure you can live with all of them.
  9. Focus on what's good about your children and expect their best.
  10. Show your love.
