Helpful praise is genuine and specific.
The way you praise your children can affect the way they will face challenges in school and in life. Look for reasons to compliment your children, but make sure that your praise is deserved. You can lose their trust by over-praising them. When offering praise, be specific about what they did right and focus more on their efforts than the results.
