Tech Thursday
Do you check out Facebook, watch TV, look at emails, or do computer work right before you try to fall asleep for the night?  If you do, it's possible that you may be robbing yourself of a good night's sleep.

When you use visual technologies before falling asleep, you may produce less sleep-inducing melatonin.  This causes you to take longer to fall asleep and have a less fitfull night's sleep.  It's also possible that using visual technologies before falling asleep may stimultate your brain and cause sleep issues.

The solution is simple: Stop using visual technologies well before your bedtime.  Stopping a few hours before you plan on sleeping is usually all it takes.  Give it try for a few weeks and see if it makes a difference in your quality of sleep.
