Keyboard shortcuts can help you move quicker and work more efficiently when you are working on projects, papers, data items, etc. This week, let's learn about a few of the common shortcuts. Give them a try and see how they work for you!
- You can delete an entire word by pressing CTRL + Backspace. This will delete the entire word behind the cursor. No more clicking the Backspace multiple times!
- To move to the beginning of the previous word in your document, use CTRL + Left Arrow. To move to the beginning of the next word, use CTRL + Right Arrow. (OS X users can do the same things using the Option key.)
- Using Subscript and Superscript can add visual impact to your document. Use CTRL + = for Subscript and CTRL + SHIFT + = for Supersript.
- Don't forget about CTRL + C to copy text you have highlighted and CTRL + V to paste copied text. This is a huge time saver!
