Fall Registration & Fee Day

Fall Registration & Fee Day for the 2015-2016 school year is Monday, August 3, and Tuesday, August 4, from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.  Student schedules and locker assignments will be available (if applicable).  Class rosters, however, will not be available at the schools until August 10.  Families who choose not to use RevTrak to pay their school/lunch fees can pay these fees during registration.


First Day of Class Schedule

The first day of class for Grades 1-12 is Thursday, August 27. The first day for Preschool, Transitional Kindergarten, Kindergarten, and Shared Visions is Monday, August 31.

Middle & Secondary School Meetings

Drexler Middle/Intermediate School, Cascade Jr./Sr. High School of W.D., and Western Dubuque High School at Epworth have scheduled informational meeting times for all new incoming students as well as all students who are new to the Western Dubuque Community School District.

 

Drexler Middle/Intermediate School (DMIS)
Information Meeting & Open House: Tuesday, August 25, 6:00-7:00 p.m.

There will be an open house August 25 from 6:00-7:00 p.m. for incoming 5th graders as well as 6th-8th grade students who are new to our district or DMIS.  This will give students and families the opportunity to meet DMIS staff, find classrooms, and check lockers.  All teachers will be available in their classrooms promptly at 6:00 p.m. in order to meet new students/families and answer questions.  All 7th and 8th graders who will be involved in athletics during the 2015-16 school year are expected to attend an informational meeting in the new gym at 6:00 p.m.

Informational meetings will be held in the Ellen Kennedy Fine Arts Center Auditorium for the students listed above, and their parents.  Expectations and procedures will be discussed, followed by a question and answer period.  Students will have a chance to meet some of the staff, find their classrooms and check their lockers.

 

Western Dubuque High School at Epworth
Information Meeting for All 9th Graders and All New Students: Tuesday, August 25, 6:30 p.m.

Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. for students and parents to visit informational booths with all sports, clubs and organizations represented.  The main presentation will begin at 7:00 p.m.  During the presentation the administration will go over student expectations.  Students and parents will also have a chance to meet the high school staff, find classrooms, and check lockers.

Schools Receive DRA Grant Awards

The Dubuque Racing Association recently announced their annual grant awards for the year 2015. 

 

The following Western Dubuque Schools are grant award winners:

Bernard Elementary - $5,000

Cascade Elementary - $5,000

 Dyersville Elementary - $5,000

Epworth Elementary - $5,000

Farley Elementary - $5,000

Drexler Middle/Intermediate School - $7,500

Western Dubuque High School - $5,000
