Welcome to the Mental Health Counseling Website!

My name is Laura Foust and I am the mental health counselor for the Western Dubuque Community School District. I graduated from the University of Northern Iowa in 1991 with B.A. in psychology and a minor in family life education. I received my Master Degree in mental health counseling from the University of Northern Iowa in 1995. I have been working in the mental health field for over fifteen years. I greatly enjoy helping students and families learn strategies to improve their overall functioning.

As the mental health counselor for the district, I provide services at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. I work collaboratively with students, parents, school personnel, and community agencies to address academic concerns, emotional issues, behavioral situations, loss, and challenges. If you feel your child could benefit from services, contact your child’s school counselor for further information.
